For many years, Convergint was considered the philanthropic standard in the security industry, with its annual Social Responsibility Day dedicated to community service dating back more than two decades.
The Security Industry Association took the idea a step further in 2024, dubbing the first Friday in June (the day on which Convergint has closed its global offices and dispatched its employees into the community to do acts of benevolence) as Security Industry Community Service Day.
Social media was flooded around that time with photos and stories of companies in the industry embracing the spirit of the #SecurityGivesBack hashtag and we know the effort to give back extends well beyond that.
That’s why we’re sharing the stories of security companies who understand they’re doing more than just working in a particular community. They’re part of that community and it’s up to them to reach beyond their office walls and to help their neighbors in need.
We know there’s a lot of goodness being spread across the security industry and we want to share that with our readers.
