REDMOND, Wash. – Intercom, access control and emergency communication product manufacturer Aiphone has introduced access control management software AC Nio ahead of the product’s debut at GSX 2023 in Dallas (booth 2408) next week.
With AC Nio, customers “get access to an easy-to-use and customizable dashboard that provides the tools needed to manage daily access control credentials, run reports, set schedules, and program the AC Series access control solution,” according to the company announcement.
An intuitive software platform, AC Nio features widgets, shortcuts, drag-and-drop functionality, and graphics. An advanced scripting engine “enables users to automate access control applications with unlimited customizations, while flexible permission capabilities support thousands of doors across multiple locations,” the announcement says.
AC Nio also features partition access and privileges, allowing for customizable administrator permissions. This means that an administrator can define who can manage specific doors, high-profile card holders or special schedules.
“With the launch of our AC Series, we recognized it was important to develop a software management tool that would be easy to use but also offered the same high level of functionality that our customers have come to expect from Aiphone,” says Brad Kamcheff, marketing manager for Aiphone Corporation.
“The AC Nio achieves just that, putting the power to manage our access control system and other security systems in our customers hands with a modern software platform that is fully customizable and integrates with other solutions,” he says in the company announcement.
More About the AC Nio Software Platform
Additional features of the AC Nio include:
Notification Management – End users can customize which notifications they receive based on predefined criteria or notification type. This also includes the ability to customize bulk notifications sent to administrator groups. This could include alerting a school resource officer and principal that a secure door did not fully close.
Active Directory Integration – AC Nio integrates using lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP), enabling quick access of user information. With LDAP integration, users can be given access to doors and elevators. User permissions are also continuously synced through the Active Directory server.
AC Nio offers multiple licensing options based on capacity levels that can fit a variety of needs, from managing doors, elevators, and surveillance cameras. It is a modern, secure, and customizable access control interface that is easy to use, yet powerful.
