MAHWAH, N.J.—Bogen Communications LLC, a manufacturer of commercial audio and voice communications solutions, has announced its CSD1X2U-V2.
The company explains the CSD1X2U-V2 is a passive speaker with versatile operation modes, supporting either 8-ohm low impedance (15-watt max) or 25-volt/70-volt with a tapped power setting input. According to Bogen, the speaker’s dual capability makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of audio applications—from commercial environments to educational institutions.

Bogen CSD1X2U-V2 Speaker Complements Company’s Nyquist Products
Bogen also says the CSD1X2U-V2 accommodates its Nyquist PoE Amplifier Modules to make it easy for dealers to augment speaker configurations. Compatible modules include the NQ-GA10P(V) VoIP Intercom module, as well as the NQ-GA20P2, and the NQ-GA40P3 Integrated Amplifiers to support the integration of these products into existing PoE networks. Designed as a drop-in ceiling panel speaker, the CSD1X2U-V2 is available in Ultra White (U) and ensures quick and hassle-free installation, reducing time and labor costs.
The N.J.-based manufacturer adds the development of the CSD1X2U-V2 was driven by customer feedback and demands for future-proofing hardware. First, Bogen points out, customers have consistently requested a single-speaker model that offers both 25 -volt/70-volt and low impedance 8-ohm operation. Secondly, the company continues, it developed the speaker to meet the need for ceiling speakers that could be used for intercoms or with a Nyquist PoE (+/++) amplifier module and a transformer module for secondary 25-volt/70-volt speaker chains.
