NextAlarm.com Unveils its ‘VoIPAlarm’ Program

Published: January 9, 2007

OJAI, Calif. — NextAlarm.com Inc., a provider of wireless alarm monitoring services, announces it is launching a VoIPAlarm program, which targets alarm companies that want to expand their products and services without switching customers.

VoIPAlarm allows alarm companies to integrate NextAlarm’s monitoring services into their existing product and service offerings, says Alex Elliot, NextAlarm’s founder and CEO.

“VoIPAlarm provides alarm companies an Internet/VoIP solution to their customers,” Elliot says. “In addition, the program allows the alarm company to maintain full control of their accounts at a lower cost than cellular back-up systems.”

When an alarm company uses VoIPAlarm, broadband Internet signals are transmitted to NextAlarm via a network adapter, which are retransmitted to the central station of the alarm company’s choice, or via a standard phone line.

In tandem with the company’s value-added reseller (VAR) program, VoIPAlarm provides end users NextAlarm’s patent-pending E-Notify™ technology to set up alarm notifications that are received via E-mail or cellular text message.

For an additional fee, other enhanced features include E-mailed document signal histories and two-way voice service. NextAlarm’s VAR program also includes UL-listed monitoring, including instant notifications by telephone, E-mail or short message service (SMS) when an alarm is triggered and dispatch of local police, fire department and paramedics.
