HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Vicon Industries, a designer and manufacturer of video surveillance and access control software, hardware and components, announces its new V988 line of 4K cameras.
Available in dome and bullet models, the new cameras feature a 3.6-11 mm motorized varifocal lens and IR illuminators. Both models include true wide dynamic range, quad streaming, video content analysis to identify tampering, intrusion, motion detection and defog, audio and alarm input/output, and IP66/IK10-rated enclosures.
They also feature H.265 compression, which is said to reduce file sizes and conserve network bandwidth, and power over Ethernet to eliminate the need for power cables.
